Michael Jackson’s This Is It

(AEG Presents, 2009)

In March 2009 Damien Wasylkiw and myself were hired by our friends at AEG Presents to meet Michael Jackson at the O2 Arena. We shadowed and filmed the ‘King of Pop’ backstage for the whole day of the press conference when he announced his ‘This Is It’ residency at the O2 Arena. From our footage we produced a promo that we delivered to Michael’s hotel at the end of the week. We were told that he loved it and that we had ‘got the gig’ to document his time when he returned to London for the concerts later that year. It wasn’t to be for well known and tragic reasons but AEG kindly credited us on the film nonetheless.
